We are looking for a Tenancy Support Officer to join our small team delivering support to new and existing Council tenants to help them set up and sustain their tenancies.
Your main duties will include:
• Helping tenants to apply for and maintain welfare benefit applications (including requesting reviews and appeals)
• Advising tenants on eligibility for benefits
• Providing basic budgeting and life skills advice and advising on how to comply with a tenancy agreement
• Maximising the support available to tenants by referring to and liaising with other agencies
• Developing strong relationships with partner agencies and representing the Council at multi agency meetings
You will be based in our offices in Loughborough although there will be opportunity for some home working under our agile working policy. You will need to have a car available for work and be able to drive to see tenants in Loughborough and the other towns and villages in Charnwood.
