Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated assistant Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion and experience in fine turf management and possess the mechanical knowledge necessary to operate various hand and power tools.
Responsibilities
1. Perform regular landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
2. Maintain flower beds, lawns, and courts.
3. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various groundskeeping tasks.
4. Monitor the condition of outdoor equipment and report any mechanical issues for repair.
5. Assist in the design and implementation of new landscaping projects as required.
6. Maintain cleanliness of grounds by removing debris and litter from outdoor areas.
Requirements
1. Experience in groundskeeping or a related field is preferred.
2. Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and practices.
3. Mechanical knowledge to operate various tools and equipment safely.
4. Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and power tools effectively.
5. Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks over extended periods.
6. Attention to detail with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
7. A valid driving licence may be required for transportation between job sites.
