As our Lead Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of supporting our customers who have housing and other complex needs to develop their skills to live more independently in the community. You’ll make a big difference each day as you help our customers achieve their hopes and aspirations.
Typical day as a Lead Support Worker (known by us as Coordinator)
* Creating support plans with your customers
* Helping customers with daily living activities such as budgeting, maintaining their tenancy, and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able.
* Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and regular reviews.
* Supporting and signposting customers to access external services to promote their independence.
* Conducting welfare checks and getting involved with turning a void room around.
* Engaging in cuppas, chats, and catch-ups with customers.

You bring
* Passion to support our customers to live their best life, working collaboratively with an eye for detail.
* Experience of creating person-centred support plans and supporting colleagues in working to those plans.
* Experience of coordinating and assessing customer referrals.
* Experience of supporting vulnerable people, with a positive can-do attitude and the desire to learn and make a difference.
* The ability to work on your own initiative, remain calm under pressure, and have a resilient approach.
* A vehicle insured for business purposes; we’ll pay your mileage!

Job details
* Flexible working hours (we’re open to agreeing on a work pattern with you)
* Occasional adaptation of start or finishing times to meet customer needs.
* Working a rota pattern including one weekend in 3.
* Regular training and team meetings despite lone working.
* Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans and completing online learning.
* Enhanced DBS check required (we pay for that).
