Acoustic Engineer
Location: Crewe
Function: Whole Vehicle – Body Acoustics
Contract: Outside IR35
Join our team as an Acoustic Engineer and play a key role in delivering world-class vehicle attribute performance for current and future model lines. Collaborating with the Attribute Technical Manager, you’ll ensure technical development, target setting, and performance delivery, all while upholding high quality standards with a focus on squeak and rattle.
Role Responsibilities of Acoustic Engineer
1. Attribute Target Development: Conduct competitor bench marking and analysis to support target setting.
2. Problem Solving & Countermeasures: Lead complex squeak and rattle investigations, including issue detection, root cause analysis, and balanced design recommendations.
3. Testing & Analysis: Deliver attribute testing and analysis using our onsite test rigs and external proving grounds.
4. Concerns Management: Oversee concerns processes, ensuring effective resolution and implementation through design teams.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with various departments to ensure consistent attribute standards across the business.
