A strategic professional is sought for the Head of PR and Communications role at GEDU Global Education. Leads comprehensive communication strategies to elevate the brand and share educational initiatives with diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Communication: Develops and executes a strategic PR and communications plan aligned with GEDU's mission and vision.
* Identifies key messages and communication channels to effectively engage current, prospective students, parents, faculty, and the broader community.
* Media Relations: Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with media outlets, education reporters, and influencers.
* Secures media coverage to highlight GEDU's achievements, programs, and thought leadership.
* Content Development: Creates compelling and relevant content for press releases, articles, blog posts, social media, and other communication platforms.
* Maintains consistency in messaging across all communication materials.
* Crisis Management: Develops and implements crisis communication plans to effectively manage and mitigate potential reputational risks.
* Serves as the primary spokesperson for GEDU during critical situations.
* Team Leadership: Leads and inspires a dynamic PR and communications team of approx. 6 people.
* Provides mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
* Brand Management: Oversees the development and maintenance of GEDU's brand identity.
* Maintains brand guidelines across all communication materials.
* Event Management: Supports the Events Team to plan and execute successful PR events, including open houses, educational forums, and community outreach initiatives.
* Collaborates with internal teams to maximize the impact of GEDU's events.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
* Proven experience in a senior PR or communications role within the education sector.
* Strong media relations skills and a network of contacts in the education and media industry.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Crisis management experience and the ability to navigate sensitive issues.
* Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.

* Familiarity with digital marketing and social media strategies.
