The role gives the opportunity to gain experience and development within the technical & quality department of a prestigious food supplier and distributor.
Tasks:
1. Understanding and decision making of product quality and food safety.
2. Support the administration of due diligence by taking responsibility for supplier records.
3. Engage with the supply base on ethical, sustainability, and quality requirements, documenting actions and development.
4. Internal reporting for both customers and suppliers, dealing with all stakeholders.
5. Support internal audits.
6. Attend customer-facing meetings to support the wider team.
7. Assist in leading supplier relationships, KPIs, and development.
8. Help manage customer specifications and communication to all relevant parties, including management of customer databases as required.
9. Help lead as a product specialist and support new product development.
Skills:
1. Good written and verbal communication skills.
2. Computer literate with good knowledge of Excel.
3. A full, clean driving license is preferred.
4. Support in development and growth in the business with relevant training provided.
5. Food safety certificate or knowledge of HACCP would be advantageous.
