SEN Teaching Assistant
Remedy Education are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join a PMLD school as a Teaching Assistant in Colchester, the successful candidate will assist the class teacher in providing a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for our students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities for SEN Teaching Assistant:
Supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons and interventions to students with special educational needs
Assisting with individual and small group work, under the direction of the class teacher
Helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment for students
Supporting students with physical and personal care needs, as required
Assisting with record keeping and monitoring of students' progress
Developing positive relationships with students, their families and other staff membersRequirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
Previous experience of working with children with special educational needs
A passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their lives
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from the class teacher
Patience and empathy
A commitment to continuing professional development
