Our client is on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic Buyer to join their growing team. This role is based in Manchester, North of England. The successful candidate will play a crucial role within the Procurement Team, providing day-to-day support for Civils sites in material procurement. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a rapidly developing office environment.
What you'll do:
* Serve as an integral member of the Procurement Department
* Manage daily material procurement for sites, including ordering consumables, signs, office equipment, and materials for major packages
* Assist in tendering, comparing, and implementing new Framework Agreements
* Procure materials and external plant hire in accordance with established Framework Agreements
* Collaborate with site personnel to meet their requirements
* Ensure data management systems are consistently updated
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date central electronic filing records of all relevant documentation
What you bring:
* Proven administrative accuracy in a busy, pressurised environment
* Experience within a similar role within a Construction company
* Planning and Prioritising: Ability to plan and prioritise around departmental/team objectives
* Effective Communication Skills: Good communication and organisational skills
* Problem Solving: Ability to look objectively at each situation before deciding on an appropriate course of action
* Adaptability: Ability to manage change and remain flexible to individual situations
