Sanctuary Personnel are looking for a Fire Surveyor Inspector to work with Islington council. This is a full-time position, and we are paying £26.34 Paye and £34.49 Umbrella per hour for this role.
The role:
The Fire Surveyor/inspector will work on Capital and Cyclical maintenance projects on housing stock owned by Islington Council from inception to completion, along with some mechanical and electrical works and fire safety works. The Fire Surveyor/Inspector will assist with the duties of a Client Representative or Lead Designer, in accordance with NHF Planned Maintenance V7.1 2016 and any subsequent amendments thereto and, as a member of a multi-disciplinary partnering team, participate in risk management and value engineering exercises. The Fire Surveyor/inspector will assist with delivering projects on time, to budget and to the required quality. They will work in accordance with Islington’s objectives and values and be an effective ambassador for Islington Council in dealing with residents, contractors, and external agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Effectively project manage a range of housing refurbishment projects, maintaining clear communications with members of the project team, managers and other staff, contractors, and residents. Provide a surveying service including undertaking Fire Door assessments and inspections and providing Client Inspection Reports for Senior Management.
Applicant Requirements:
* Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths. Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience.
* Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
* Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
* Hours: 36 hours p/w.
