We invite you to play an integral part in bringing to life this unique brand in Edinburgh., Reporting to the Director of Sales, the MICE Sales Manager at W Edinburgh will be an integral member of the sales team, responsible for overseeing group and catering related opportunities. As MICE Sales Manager, key aspects of your role will include:
* Work with the Director of Sales and team to ensure understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation of this strategy for the segments you are responsible for
* Provide positive and aggressive leadership to ensure maximum revenue potential
* Participate in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business
* Analyze market information by using sales systems and implement strategy to achieve the property's financial room and catering goals
* Review sales and catering guest satisfaction results to identify areas of improvement
* Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external
* Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure the property needs are being achieved and the sales efforts are complementary, not duplicative
* Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence)
* Be a W brand ambassador, ensuring the brand's voice is present in your interactions with guests and talent
* Empower your team to resolve guest issues independently and with confidence
* Work in collaboration with all heads of departments to ensure a successful hotel operation
* Identify new business to achieve personal and location revenue goals.
* Understand the overall market - competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
* Close the best opportunities for the location based on market conditions and location needs.
* Gain understanding of the location's primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution
