We're supporting a highly reputable, multi-service law firm who are looking for a junior residential property paralegal to assist fee earners with day-to-day duties. This is a great opportunity to for someone who is looking to kickstart their conveyancing career.
Responsibilities include:
* Handling pre-completion, post-completion, and registration tasks for conveyancing transactions.
* Preparing and submitting SDLT returns, legal documents (e.g., contracts, deeds, completion statements), and managing HM Land Registry applications and correspondence.
* Conducting searches (local authority, drainage, environmental) and analyzing results.
* Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and lenders to progress transactions, and sending Notices of Assignment and Charge to landlords or management companies.
* Managing client files, preparing reports (e.g., title reports, search summaries), and ensuring compliance with AML regulations.
* Monitoring deadlines, managing diary appointments, and addressing client queries professionally and promptly.
* Ensuring accurate file organization and maintenance for audits.
What we need from you:
* Experience in a conveyancing team is desirable but not essential
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Good communication skills via telephone and face-to-face
