Core Responsibilities Strategic Programme Management: Lead and manage strategic projects across the club in partnership with key leaders, experts, and partners Collaboration and Communication: Create a unified approach to align business areas and projects across the club Innovation and Growth: Spearhead innovation initiatives by exploring new business models, products, and services to foster sustainable growth Process Optimisation: Evaluate and enhance existing processes to lower costs and improve efficiency Strategic Analysis: Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, financial modelling, and data analysis to identify trends, mitigate risks, and uncover new business opportunities Reporting & Analysis: Develop and sustain a reporting framework for financial and non-financial metrics while collaborating with leaders across marketing, fan experience, finance, operations, and commercial departments What we’re looking for in you Essential Requirements Qualifications Extensive experience in a strategic role Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, Economics, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred) Skills & Abilities: Strong financial acumen and ability to create complex business cases Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau) Experience in customer experience analysis and journey mapping Excellent strategic report writing and presentation skills Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence C-level executives Proven leadership in managing teams and projects in fast-paced environments Proficiency in project management software Adaptability across industries and business models Desirable Requirements Experience in a strategy role within MBB, Big 4, consulting, or sports industry management Familiarity with sports marketing, sponsorship, and media rights negotiations Personal Requirements In-office attendance required 4 days per week at the Birmingham office Terms of Appointment 37.5 hours per week 20 days holiday, increasing by 1 day per year to a maximum of 25 days, plus 8 bank holidays Up to 6 months’ probation Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK A DBS check will be required At Birmingham City Football Club, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, diverse, and equitable environment.
