We are currently seeking to recruit a Lead Automotive Technical Apprenticeship Development Coach to join The Ford Apprenticeship Programme covering the United Kingdom.
The Ford Apprenticeship Programme is responsible for the development of hundreds of apprentices across retailer networks in the UK.
About the role
The Lead Technical Apprenticeship Development Coach is responsible for undertaking regular development, coaching and reviews with the regional development coach team face to face and via online meetings. They will manage, and track team progress against agreed targets, progression planning, evidence assessment, timely achievement and dealer health and safety compliance. The Lead Regional Development Coach will also ensure that all visits follow a defined visit process, quality requirements and are compliant with ESFA and Ofsted requirements.
Coaches will work with apprentices that are undertaking Light Vehicle Service Maintenance & Repair, Customer Service, Service Advisor programmes.
Person Requirements
* You enjoy playing an active and supporting role in the development of apprentices and teams. You take ownership of your work, and are motivated by the prospect of helping others succeed. You have an organised approach, great people skills, team leading experience and excellent communication and coaching skills.
* The successful candidate should have experience in a similar role and/or a background in automotive technical areas. You will use your knowledge and skills to help coach and develop the regional team to meet targets to get apprentices through their programme and final EPA assessments successfully and timely.
* Automotive technical workshop experience, at level 3 or equivalent
* Leadership experience with managing teams
* Experience with coaching and developing individuals and teams
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence, challenge, negotiate and to manage conflict and difficult situations
* Understand Management Information Systems to be able to demonstrate and monitor progression towards achievement targets
* MS office skills, and able to use technology such as laptops and tablets
* Knowledge and experience in learner safeguarding and wellbeing
* Experience in being responsible for own workload, diary management and working independently to tight schedules
* Maths and English qualification Level 2 (or equiv)
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Experience in a similar role as a Regional Coach, or Apprentice Assessor
* Automotive technical electric and hybrid vehicle qualification and practical experience
* Working knowledge/experience of Apprenticeship programmes and the requirements and related inspection framework
* Assessment, training or teaching qualification or a willingness to undertake a qualification (Teaching, training & assessing learning L3)
* Experience of ESFA compliance and process
Application Process
Please be clear about your home location in your application, and express any travel limitations. This is a lead role with the need to manage a regional team. Travel to dealers/retailers across the UK will be a key aspect of this role. Some overnight stays may be required. Days may not start or finish at regular times and flexibility is essential.
Salary & Benefits
£39,000 dependant on experience, Company Car, 25 Days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays, Calex Employee Benefits Packages (Inc Private GP and Healthcare Services, High Street Discounts, Discounted Gym Memberships and on Demand 24 Hour Wellbeing Service (Counselling and Advice).

Based from the Ford Academy in Daventry and ability to travel regionally to manage a team.
