Background
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking for a role within the university sector, by joining the Faculty Executive Services team.
The Faculty Executive Services Officer will be part of the busy faculty executive services team that work with a multifaceted and complex faculty that delivers a range of programmes across multiple sites and at different academic levels. In order to provide the appropriate and necessary levels of direct support we require a highly organised, tenacious and capable individual who is able to work on their own initiative. The role holder will be part of a broader support team that will enable continuity of cover across our senior management team, including the Dean and Heads of Schools.
This opportunity will suit a candidate who enjoys a varied role, with a wide range of administrative tasks and provide high quality administrative support for the faculty and school executive members. The primary focus will be supporting executive school and faculty members in arranging meetings and diary support, bringing forward papers, sense-checking and editing documents, uploading data on to data systems and administering some delegated internal system functions, along with other duties commensurate with the role as required.
The role holder will provide support and will signpost colleagues in the faculty and school, alongside other stakeholders, to advice and guidance relating to a breadth of services from across the university as appropriate. The post holder will also be expected to liaise and work closely with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.
Who are we looking for?
You will be educated to GCSE standard or an equivalent with experience of working to tight deadlines/competing priorities. You must demonstrate communication skills with a broad range of stakeholder groups. Well-developed skills in Microsoft Office programmes is essential.
