You must be a single UK National with an SC clearance, those capable of obtaining SC may apply. This will be a hybrid position, working out of our site in Leatherhead.
Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Solution Architect, you will play a critical role in supporting the Business Development team by identifying, assessing, and responding to Logistics opportunities in Defence. You will engage with clients, analyse detailed documentation, and contribute to solution development, ensuring proposals align with business and client needs. Prior experience in designing, developing, deploying, or assessing Defence systems will be highly beneficial, while knowledge of the Logistics domain is advantageous.
You will also be responsible for producing high-level design artefacts and supporting documents such as High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs). Collaboration with colleagues across CGI will be key to ensuring quality, consistency, and the successful delivery of solutions. Your ability to engage with multiple stakeholders and communicate architectural vision effectively will be critical to success in this role.
In this role, you will:
• Support the Business Development Team by evaluating opportunities and analysing technical requirements.
• Engage directly with clients during supplier days and other key events to understand their needs.
• Produce and present architectural documentation, including HLDs and LLDs, to define solution approaches.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure consistency and quality in solution design.
• Contribute technical expertise to proposal development and strategy discussions.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
To be successful in this role, you will need a strong background in solution architecture, infrastructure engineering, and enterprise systems. You should have experience working within Defence or highly regulated industries and be comfortable evaluating technical requirements to propose robust and scalable solutions. Your ability to think critically, solve problems, and challenge assumptions where necessary will be key to success.
Strong documentation skills are essential, as you will be expected to create technical documents that effectively communicate architectural vision. Additionally, a collaborative mindset and strong stakeholder management skills will help you work effectively across teams and with clients. Familiarity with Defence estate knowledge and logistics solutions will be considered a plus.
