Internal Communications Manager - Business Partner (Defence & National Security) Basingstoke (BSN01): Hybrid working 2 days in the office per week. As an Internal Communications Manager you will contribute to this by business partnering with our Defence & National Security business group to to ensure clear, consistent, and compelling employee communications as a key enabler of business outcomes. The Internal Communication Manager (Business Partner) reports to the Head of UK Internal Communication, and is responsible for advising and delivering exceptional employee communications, in close alignment of UK, Europe and Global Fujitsu strategies. Your role will involve Working as a business partner with the leadership team and key functions in our UK Defence & National Security business group unit, the internal communication manager ensures consistency in messaging and develops specific internal communication approaches and advice against key priorities. In addition, the internal communication manager oversees our Fujitsu-wide Responsible Business and Sustainability topics and key UK stakeholders, ensuring appropriate content and messaging is woven through our UK internal comms activity, with the support of the wider internal communication team. Specific responsibilities include: - Working with the Defence & National Security leadership team to understand key business strategies, opportunities and challenges, and to plan and agree key internal communication deliverables at business group level. - Collaborate alongside other aligned functions including HR, finance, and business operations to share knowledge, information, and coordinate priorities effectively. - Oversee all broad employee communications including hybrid, virtual, and live events and roadshows, key announcement emails, intranet news, key Viva Engage and Teams channels, podcasts, videos and newsletters / bulletins, with guidance and enablement from the internal comms team where specific expertise is required. - Ensure messaging, approach, timeframe, desired outcomes and measurement are in place and in step with broader business activities, course-correcting and advising leadership where necessary, whilst utilising any centrally provided materials. - Maintain a focus on delivering on the most strategic and impactful internal communications activities, working in an advisory capacity to enable good practice self-service internal communications through the organisation. - Proactively seek and amplify customer, employee, and other relevant news from the business through local, UK, and broader channels as appropriate and in a proactive timely manner, with close collaborative working relationships with the wider internal comms community. - Provide the internal communication team in the UK and broader with ideas, news, insights, plans and resource requirements in a timely fashion, with a collaborative attitude to agreeing where team resource is most effectively to be used, effectively briefing in and supporting excellent work production in specialised areas - Act as a single point of contact across the UK for the internal communication of Responsible Business and Sustainability topics, linking in with the global, European and UK strategies, and agree - along with key stakeholders as appropriate and the broader internal comms team - a communication plan and deliverables in support of the UK strategy. By identifying the key moments and opportunities to galvanise employees around our sustainability and responsible business priorities, ensuring that agreed dates and plans are in step with the broader organisation. Your transferable skills and experience: - Have experience in an internal communications team and / or wider communications function as part of a large organisation, ideally in an IT, technical, or operational field - Have excellent project and stakeholder management skills - Team player, with the ability to work both as part of a broader matrixed communications team and as an advisor to specific areas of the business simultaneously and seamlessly - Excellent storytelling capabilities, including a high level of written communication, with the ability to manage and translate complex and sensitive information to a variety of audiences - An excellent and visible communicator, able to share information, advise, influence in a timely fashion, in support of business outcomes - Curious and committed to improving personal development in the pursuit of improved employee communications experience.
