Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer required to join a leading Compressed Air Manufacturer.
The Successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance on compressed air equipment at customer sites across the Northeast. Full product training provided.
The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer will ideally have a field service background in electrical and/or mechanical engineering such as compressors, filtration, pneumatics, hydraulics, pipework, vacuum pumps, vacuum systems, blowers, dryers, valves, rotating equipment, or similar compressed air-related equipment.

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer Role
1. To provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of compressed air equipment at customer sites.
2. The Compressor Service Engineer will undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, fault finding of compressed air systems, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators, and other compressed air products.
3. Maintain, repair, and install air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, valves, and other compressed air and pneumatic equipment across the Newcastle and North East areas.
4. Identifying and providing the customer with compressed air improvements, upgrades, or general aftercare of compressor products.
5. Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.
6. Liaise with various engineering departments.
Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer Requirements
1. Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical/mechanical engineering systems.
2. Experience as a Field Service Engineer / Service Engineer / Service Technician / Installation Engineer / Compressor Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / M&E Engineer or similar.
3. The ability to maintain good professional working relationships with existing and new customers.
4. Good working knowledge of three-phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
5. Field servicing background in compressors, filtration, pneumatics, hydraulics, nitrogen generators, pipework, vacuum pumps, vacuum systems, blowers, dryers, pumps, motors, rotating equipment, or capital equipment is advantageous. Training provided.
6. A technical engineering degree or apprentice trained would be advantageous.
7. Homebased, willing to travel.
