Location: Agile, Forth Banks Police Station and homeworking

The role

As a Civil Claims Investigator, you will investigate civil claims made against the Chief Constable in order to inform decisions by solicitors to defend or settle claims.
What you’ll do
* Investigate Civil Claims: Gather and assess evidence for civil claims against the Chief Constable to help the Senior Lawyer (Civil Claims) decide whether to defend or settle cases.
* Initial Claim Assessment: Provide an initial evaluation of civil claims to determine the necessary level of investigation.
* Data Interrogation: Use force computer systems and databases to support investigations.
* Witness Interviews: Interview witnesses and obtain witness statements, documentary, and other evidence.
* Written Updates: Provide written updates and assessments on the outcomes of investigations.
* Disclosure Preparation: Assess and prepare materials for disclosure to claimants or their representatives.
