Description Licensing Officer Permanent Grade 3 - £26,409 - £32,654 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review We are a Living Wage Employer, and all our roles will be paid as such where the pay scales are below the Living Wage rate. Working 36.5 hours per week As a Licensing Officer, you will be responsible for processing, assessing, and issuing various licenses in accordance with relevant legislation and policies. You will work closely with businesses, local authorities, and enforcement agencies to ensure compliance and provide guidance on licensing matters:- Assess and process applications for licenses Ensure all applications comply with relevant Acts of Parliament /legislation Progress chase any matters relating to the issue of licences, including the use of associated systems including a “bring forward” system. Liaise with applicants, license holders, and other stakeholders in connection with licensing enquiries. Prepare reports, maintain accurate records, and contribute to enforcement actions where necessary.
