Having opened its doors in 1922 the Club is full of history and character. With 110 bedrooms, 10 meeting and banqueting rooms, our fine dining restaurant and pub, the Club is truly a hidden gem with modern and elegant interior and facilities. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to: Food and Beverage Manager Key Responsibilities: Team Collaboration and Leadership: Foster a positive, team-oriented atmosphere where every team member contributes to the success of the Restaurant. Build strong working relationships within the team and across other departments to ensure seamless service delivery. Lead by example, inspiring team members to work together effectively and achieve shared goals. Provide guidance and support to team members to help them succeed in their roles and grow professionally. Operations Management: Oversee daily Restaurant activities to ensure smooth operations and adherence to service standards. Maximize service efficiency and occupancy while maintaining the highest quality of customer experience. Ensure seamless communication with the kitchen regarding daily menu updates, special requests, and service needs. Customer Experience: Maintain a warm, welcoming environment for Club members and guests. Address member and guest feedback promptly. Train staff to deliver exceptional service while embodying the Clubs values. Staff Development and Engagement: Schedule and manage staffing levels to balance operational needs and staff well-being. Conduct performance reviews, probation assessments, and team-building activities to enhance morale. Promote open communication, encouraging team members to share ideas and feedback. Compliance and Standards: Ensure all health and safety training is completed, with strict adherence to regulations. Monitor staff appearance and uphold Club standards. Report maintenance issues promptly. Inventory and Budget Management: Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels of beverages, cutlery, glassware and crockery Minimize waste through effective stock rotation and inventory control. Assist in managing departmental budgets to optimize financial performance. Administrative Duties: Handle daily records, checklists, and handover notes to ensure operational consistency. Post all food and beverage charges accurately using the F&B system. Provide timely reports and updates to the Food and Beverage Manager as needed. Other Duties: Support the Food and Beverage Manager in fulfilling additional responsibilities as required to meet business needs.
