Job Title: Repairs & Maintenance Surveyor Head Office Location: Brindley Place, Birmingham Job Location: Methuen Park, Chippenham, SN14 0JU Salary - £41,300 ( £750.00 Car allowance) per annum Contract type - Permanent Working hours - Full Time 37 hours Interview Date - w/c 10 February 2025 About the role A surveyor has specific requirements to ensure we are meeting regulatory, statutory, and health & safety. With responsibility for ensuring our services meet operational standards and targets, provide value for money and involve colleagues and customers to improve service delivery. Your role will be to be the technical lead across the locality, carrying out all day to day surveying functions and responding to any technical queries raised by the residents, locality leads or colleagues. This will include carrying out pre and post inspections, ensure good standard of workmanship and service is delivered on time and within budget. Part of this role will be to instigate and monitor all remedial or necessary actions including communication of survey outcomes, requirements, completions and further works to colleagues and other stakeholders. Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require a DBS check to be completed. Further details will be sent following offer. About you You will require a HNC in construction or equivalent and / or a time served trades background in carpentry or plumbing with a recognised qualification i.e. City & Guilds. Professional qualification in a maintenance, construction, RICS / CIOB or equivalent, H & S (NEBOSH or equivalent) isn`t essential but will be beneficial for this role. You will be able to manage difficult conversations and conflict effectively. This will also include dealing with complex problems that have a variety of solutions and making the case for the best one. Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require evidence of the required certificates and qualifications for this role.
