As a Portfolio Manager, you will report to the Head of Capital Delivery LPN and work within Capital Programme & Procurement. This permanent position offers a competitive salary based on your experience, along with a car allowance and a 10% bonus. In this role, you will be accountable for the safe delivery of a portfolio of projects and programmes of work within the mandated output, time, and cost criteria. You will lead a team of 10 direct reports and manage a multi-discipline team of around 100, including consultants, contractors, and equipment suppliers. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Delivering major capital projects
2. Providing leadership and direction to programme and senior project managers
3. Ensuring risk and opportunity management
4. Forecasting expenditure
5. Managing performance
6. Developing processes to improve problem-solving
7. Ensuring compliance with regulations
8. Managing relationships with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders
If you have a formal qualification in project/programme management or an equivalent degree in electrical or civil engineering, substantial experience delivering infrastructure projects, and practitioner-level skills in contract management, planning, and risk management, we want to hear from you.
