Job Description
Veterinary Surgeon – Where Your Wellbeing Comes First! Looking for a role where you’re valued, supported, and well-rewarded? Want to be part of a friendly, well-established team that genuinely cares about your work-life balance? This could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Why You’ll Love Working Here:
1. Join a welcoming, close-knit team that supports each other and encourages career growth.
2. A well-structured workday – 20-minute consults, regular catch-up slots, and dedicated time for same-day cases.
3. Set shift pattern with some flexibility to make life work for you.
4. No double-booked consults and nurse-led triage for emergencies, so you can focus on delivering great care.
5. Your time is respected – the last consult is an hour before closing, and the practice shuts 30 minutes before the end of the day to help prevent overruns.
6. 1 in 4 weekends (Saturday 9-4, Sunday 10-4) with no OOH – giving you more time to enjoy your life outside of work!
7. Vet dinners! We meet every few months over a pub tea to discuss cases, ideas, and the latest industry updates.
What’s in It for You?
1. Fantastic salary up to £70,000 DOE (FTE)
2. 33 days holiday (plus your birthday off & paid if working!)
3. £1,600 CPD allowance (additional funding for certificates considered)
4. RCVS, BVA & VDS memberships covered – plus other memberships as needed
5. Private healthcare (AXA) with a small contribution
6. Income protection after 1 year’s service
7. Overtime pay for any additional hours worked
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re on the lookout for a confident and experienced Vet (3+ years’ experience preferred) who thrives in a supportive and collaborative environment. You’ll be comfortable with routine surgeries and consults, and keen to be part of a practice where your ideas and input are truly valued.
If you want to work in a thriving, well-established practice with a large nurse-to-vet ratio, low staff turnover, and a genuine focus on wellbeing, we’d love to hear from you! To find out more, get in touch today!
