Event Coordinator Intern
Position: Event Coordinator Intern (Part-Time, Internship with Perks) Duration: 6-12 months, 15 hours per week
Location: Cardiff (some remote flexibility)
Responsibilities:
As the Event Coordinator Intern, you will take an integral role in organizing high-profile Afro dance performances, workshops, and community events. You’ll work directly with the founder and the performance team to ensure every event is flawlessly executed.
· Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, and logistics.
· Liaise with venues, sponsors, and vendors to confirm bookings and requirements.
· Assist in promoting events and managing ticket sales or registrations.
· Act as the point of contact during events, ensuring smooth operations.
· Conduct post-event evaluations to measure success and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should have a passion for event management and the performing arts, with a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills.
· Required:
o Experience organizing or assisting in events (university events, local performances, etc.).
o Strong project management skills with an ability to multitask under pressure.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
· Preferred:
o Experience working with cultural or performing arts organizations.
o Knowledge of Afro dance or a willingness to learn about its cultural significance.
o Familiarity with event ticketing platforms like Eventbrite or social media promotion.
