Key Information
1. Role: Data Analyst Apprentice [Level 4 Data Analyst] x 2 roles
2. Salary: 20,500 per annum
3. Location: York or Manchester
4. Contract Type: Permanent opportunity for new entrants to Network Rail only
5. Start date: September 2025
6. Office Requirement: Hybrid with an expectation of 3 days per week working from the York or Manchester office depending on your home office location
7. Entry Requirements: You’ll need to have 2 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above to apply, this must include English and Maths
Selection Process: If selected, the next stage of the process will be a request for you to submit a video response to several questions (motivational and role specific). You will be contacted after the closing date if you are required to complete this stage. The final stage of the recruitment process will be an Assessment Centre.
Assessment Centre: 25th April 2025. York.

About the role (External)
The ideal candidate:
We are looking for candidates who are curious, analytical, and passionate about working with data. You will possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify patterns and trends in complex datasets.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, demonstrating self-motivation whilst also having the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse data analytics team. You will need good communication skills, enabling you to share insights effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will also need to show adaptability and resilience, thriving in a dynamic and evolving environment.
Basic proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel is desirable, and a willingness to learn tools such as Power BI, SQL, and web programming is essential. You should also be self-motivated, proactive in identifying challenges, and committed to finding innovative solutions independently.
