Your future role
Take on a new challenge in Mansfield and apply your Team Leading expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to the Operations Manager and work alongside a dedicated and passionate Services team in Alstom UK&I.
Day-to-day, you’ll assist the Ops Manager in the day-to-day management of the shop floor at the Castlewood ALSTOM Electronics site by providing ‘hands-on’ supervision and leadership.
You will ensure high standards of Health & Safety, right first time, efficiency, and service level are consistently achieved. Provide fast resolution to any shop floor-related issues when identified and support good levels of communication throughout the business. Raise overall standards in performance by developing staff competences and Continuous Improvement (CI) tools. The role would include assisting the Ops Manager with accurate recording of all employee absence, holiday recording, and overtime when required. We’ll also look to you for the following:
* Support Ops Manager
* Communicate Company goals, Safety practices, and Deadlines to team.
* Motivate team members and assess performance.
* Provide assistance to Ops Manager and keep updated on team performance.
* Encourage team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks.
* Complete required company documentation daily/weekly.
* Answer team member questions, help with team member problems, and oversee team member work for quality and guideline compliance.
* Ensure company physical working spaces meet and exceed company presentation standards.
* Collaborate and communicate clearly with other departments.
* Attend required daily/weekly meetings.
Performance Standards
Excellent standards of supervisory skills, leadership, communication, focus on objectives, personal discipline, Health & Safety, time management, problem-solving, take a proactive part in ensuring Alstom OTD >98%.
