The Role:
As a Senior Radar Scientist, you’ll have a role that is out of the ordinary. You will support in leading the radar signature measurement trials to help improve platform protection against radar threats through signature management and the use of radar countermeasures.
Day-to-day, you’ll undertake and lead the radar signature measurement trials. The role will require operating the ground-based Groundlark instrumentation radars and the airborne Skylark radar system.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Deploying as a member of the trial delivery team and, where required, supporting team leadership
* Supporting all aspects of trial planning from safety, security, logistics, and technical
* Providing technical expertise input to investment and customer projects
* Participating in the effective and efficient operation of the Radar Cross Section facility, proactively working to implement process improvements when identified
* Complying with all Health and Safety and Environmental requirements at a particular trials site by working by the Trials Risk Assessment, the Site Health, Safety and Environmental Plan, and the Site Security Plan
Essential experience of the Senior Radar Scientist:
* You must have experience in Digital Signal Processing, Image Processing, or Radar Imaging
* You must have experience in Radar Signature Measurements
Essential qualifications for the Senior Radar Scientist:
* You must have a degree in Physics, Science, or Maths

This role is 37 hours per week based at Funtington. Hybrid working patterns are available.
