This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and talented Online Website Merchandiser to truly own the online merchandising of our US D2C website.
You’ll work closely alongside the Ecommerce Merchandising team responsible for our UK based D2C site, offering support and cover when needed, and report directly to our Head of Ecommerce.
We need you to help us:
* Build and deliver key landing pages, categories, campaigns, and experience launches working closely with creative, copy, partnerships, and various stakeholders across the business
* Maximise sales and visitor conversion across Virgin Experience Gifts ecommerce site and channels via efficient planning and coordination of merchandising activity
* Analyse and report on site metrics & KPIs to optimise performance
Role Responsibilities:
You will report directly to our Head of Ecommerce and work collaboratively with the Ecommerce Merchandising team as well as colleagues from UX, Data, Partnerships and Marketing teams. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Building optimised landing pages, curating categories & bespoke online journeys via our merchandising tools (Algolia / Prismic)
* Create and maintain a trading / merchandising calendar of activity
* Implement on-site trading activity, using your expertise to suggest and deliver new and inventive ways to hit our KPI's, proposing new ways to successfully drive customer value
* Own and execute merchandising plans for new experience launches, seasonal gifting occasions and promotions
* Work closely with the wider ecommerce team to test and assist in executing experiments and campaigns to increase conversion, ARPU and AMPU
* Analyse product / category performance and post-event analysis of all site’s key activities, putting forward recommendations for merchandising improvements
* Liaise and work closely with our SEO specialist to create categories based on search intent
* Work with technology and product teams to improve our capabilities and launch new features
What you'll need:
* Experience merchandising one or more high volume DTC ecommerce websites
* Experience in a gifting, travel or leisure industry preferred
* Experience working in an ecommerce / digital team
* Experience using a merchandising platform / CMS, making regular customer-facing updates within a digital environment
* Excellent analytical skills with experience of extracting and utilising data insights (ideally from Google Analytics)
* Passionate about ecommerce and the customer experience
* Excellent communications, interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to quickly build effective relationships
* Energetic and enthusiastic – has a sense of urgency
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
* Results driven and thrive in a fast paced environment with ambitious growth plans
Nice to have:
* Working knowledge of US market and regional differences
* Experience using search and merchandising platforms such as Algolia and Prismic
* Experience working directly / indirectly with onsite optimisation (A/B, MVT etc.)
