Development Manager (Health) MUST HAVE AN ENHANCED DBS - CHILD AND ADULT Location: Taunton Hours: Full time (37 hours per week) Contract: ASAP until 31 July 2025 Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager or high-level Project Coordinator with vocational experience in Health & Social Care. This role requires a professional who is deeply involved in curriculum development. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of health education, rather than experience in areas such as construction, fit-out, or resource planning within the NHS. Role & Responsibilities: Project Management: Oversee the development of clinical health degree programs within the parameters of Office for Students funding.Collaborate closely with the Head of Nursing & Health Professions to ensure successful project delivery.Act as the primary point of contact for all internal and external communications related to the development.Manage day-to-day communications with all stakeholders via web, email, and phone. Develop an effective communication strategy to keep all parties updated on progress. Reporting & Coordination: Provide regular project status reports to the Executive Project Lead and Dean of Higher Education, including risks, planned actions, and recommendations.Coordinate and manage the creation of pathways marketing and publicity materials in collaboration with the in-house marketing team, both online and offline. Financial & Administrative Management: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders’ financial teams regarding project budget and administrative matters. Report financial updates and concerns where appropriate. Additional Duties: Contribute to the development and improvement of the College’s administrative processes to ensure project completion.Represent the institution at relevant events and open evenings to promote the project.Support and uphold safeguarding practices to ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors.Promote equality and diversity to ensure fair opportunities for all students, staff, and visitors while eliminating discriminatory practices. Essential Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in successfully contributing to the development and delivery of projects within Health & Social Care. Solution-focused attitude with the ability to work autonomously and flexibly. Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and network effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Effective resource management skills, with experience managing budgets. Proficient in IT tools, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and collaboration platforms. A commitment to providing high-quality education and learner outcomes. Creative and proactive in everyday work tasks. Strong drive for personal development and growth. Valid UK driving license.
