Payroll Administrator/Coordinator (Temporary) Location: Chesterfield, Derbyshire (Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days at home, with flexibility for more remote work) Contract Type: Temporary, lasting 2-6 months Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 (equivalent) Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (flexible to consider 30 hours over 5 days) Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator/Coordinator to manage payroll processes for a large organisation. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, as well as supporting the implementation of a new payroll system. Key responsibilities include: Managing payroll processes to ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time. Supporting the transition to a new payroll system and collaborating with team members to ensure smooth operations. Completing payroll reporting, including gross to net reports and analysis of deductions. Ensuring timely loading of payroll payments onto the bank for processing. Managing payroll deductions and ensuring appropriate taxes are paid to HMRC within deadlines. Checking and processing employee expenses with proper approvals. Responding to payroll-related queries promptly and professionally. Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Proven experience in payroll within a large organization (1000 employees). Proficiency in Sage Payroll and familiarity with multiple payroll software systems. Strong numerical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and adapt to changing priorities. Highly organised, thorough, and proactive in approach. Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.
