We are currently seeking a dedicated Grounds & Gardens Person to join our experienced team at Leez Priory, one of the UK’s most iconic and beautiful Grade I listed wedding venues. This is a full-time position offering a varied and rewarding role for someone who is passionate about horticulture and takes pride in creating and maintaining stunning gardens. From sweeping lawns to detailed flower displays, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the grounds reflect the elegance and charm of the venue year-round. Key Responsibilities: Day-to-day general gardening duties across formal and informal grounds Lawn care including mowing, edging, and strimming Hedge cutting, pruning, weeding, and garden maintenance Planning and creating seasonal flower displays Growing plants from seed and plug, and propagation work Working in the polytunnel for vegetable and herb cultivation Small-scale garden renovation projects Supporting with minor guest-related grounds issues and general upkeep Weekend work required on a rota basis About You: A genuine passion for horticulture and garden care At least 2 years of experience in a similar role preferred Knowledge of a wide range of plants and maintenance techniques Skilled in the safe use of horticultural tools and machinery Eye for detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, well presented, and enthusiastic Driving license or access to your own transport essential due to location Leez Priory is a stunning, historic estate and we are looking for someone who can help keep the grounds looking immaculate for our couples and their guests.
