Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities - What You'll Be Doing
1. Play a crucial role in optimising manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
2. Lead process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
3. Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and maximise efficiency.
4. Apply structured problem-solving techniques such as 8D analysis.
5. Manage change effectively, ensuring smooth transitions in production processes.
6. Work closely with production teams to select optimal materials and support fixtures.
7. Ensure ERP systems align with physical processes, streamlining production workflows.
8. Analyse productivity and cost drivers, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
Manufacturing Engineer Requirements - What You'll Need to Succeed
1. Strong background in process engineering within a manufacturing or MRO environment.
2. Graduate or apprentice-trained engineer with hands-on experience.
3. Proven experience in process engineering in medium or low-volume manufacturing/MRO.
4. Strong understanding of ERP systems and their integration with physical processes.
5. Knowledge of composite materials and their manufacturing applications.
6. Experience in continuous improvement methodologies, such as lean tools and techniques.
7. Ability to drive productivity, quality, and cost-saving initiatives.
