** BHM - Control Room Operator**** General information**Job Title BHM - Control Room Operator Date Monday, February 24, 2025 City Birmingham State Alabama Full/Part Time Full Time Shift A.M. shift, P.M. shift ** Requirements and Description**ERMC is seeking a Control Room Operator. The selected candidate will be responsible for but not limited to: • Dispatches personnel or technicians to problems on the conveyor line and creates work orders for the repairs to be made. • Create, modify, and update databases/spreadsheets associated with the administration of the Maintenance Site, and maintain filing and reports relating to the conveyor line operation. • Documents the daily functions, outages, and statistics of the conveyor system. • Maintains accurate flight table with the assistance of the customer. Make any corrections on a temporary and/or permanent basis. • May maintain parts inventory and be responsible for data entry in CMMS. • Completes all safety training as assigned by the Company. Qualifications: • Previous experience in an airport environment. • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the customer, TSA, and Airline representatives. • Knowledge of Industrial safety. • Ability to type a minimum of 30 WPM. • Ability to speak clearly over a two-way radio system. • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills. • Good computer skills (CMMS, MS Office, Baggage System User Interface). • Previous experience with warehousing and inventory. • Ability to pass a basic mechanical/electrical aptitude test. • Knowledge, of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,) with the ability to log in, retrieve and answer emails, and take training. Standard qualifications: • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Completing • Must possess a Government ID and social security card. • Must be able to obtain and keep an airport security badge. • Must have or be able to attain reliable transportation. • Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces • Able to receive appropriate security clearances after completing a criminal background check. • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. • Must be able to work extended hours depending on operational needs. • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
