This role is a job share. In conjunction with the other post holder, the Service Co-ordinator will
* Be responsible for the day to day supervision of the administration team.
* Ensure that the administration team will provide a professional, comprehensive, efficient, accurate and timely service.
* Provide high quality personal assistance to management team including responsible administrative support in their absence, using own initiative and working without supervision.
* Ensure all information is secure and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times.
* Provide excellent customer care which may include communication with distressed and anxious patients and relatives, treating them with tact and empathy.
* Ensure the professional image of the Trust is maintained at all times.
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a part time job share Service Co-ordinator to join our Gynaecology oncology service. Based on the main Royal Devon and Exeter Wonford site, the post holder will join an established team to provide comprehensive administrative support to specialist oncologists and nurses. The ideal candidate will have strong prioritisation skills, a passion for leadership and enjoy working as part of a busy and vibrant team. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proven experience in dealing with service users on the telephone. You will be flexible and adaptable with excellent IT skills. You will need to enjoy the challenge of working as part of a busy team yet have the ability to use your own initiative to meet the changing needs of the department and the wider service.
Working Pattern: Monday and Friday 9am to 5pm. Please note that as this a job share and due to the operational needs of the department we are unable to consider candidates who require an alternative working pattern.
