Redline have been selected as a recruitment partner for a leading technology company based in Slough, Berkshire. They are a family run business and have been established for 45 years and this is reflected in the proactive, collaborative culture there. Due to recent project wins, they are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with knowledge and experience of Transformer design. You will be required to work on a variety of different sizes and types, ranging from 500KVA to 10VA and take a leading role in the design of new products and systems. This role also involves meeting customers to discuss voltage regulation needs and development of solutions to meet these needs, so excellent communication skills are essential for this role. In addition to this, the role involves:
1. Involvement in technical discussions with customers and help form and clarify technical specifications.
2. Liaising with production and advising on manufacturing of our power quality products.
3. Head up the planning process for design, production and delivery.
In order to be successful in the role of Electrical Design Engineer - Transformers based in Slough, you will need:
1. A BSc in Electrical Engineering, or similar.
2. Extensive experience in industrial electrical engineering.
3. Practical experience in selecting and sizing electrical system components and materials.
4. Some electro-mechanical CAD experience would be advantageous.
5. A knowledge of applicable international standards would be desirable.
