Job summary Band 6 MSK (Musculoskeletal) Physiotherapist 12 month fixed term maternity leave cover, ends 15.4.26 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our team within the outpatient physiotherapy service at Southend Hospital on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will be a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and hold a Degree in physiotherapy. The candidate will be required to have experience working as a Band 5 physiotherapist and have completed core rotations, including MSK outpatients. Main duties of the job We offer physiotherapy to patients presenting with a wide range of acute and chronic MSK conditions, accepting referrals form GP's, orthopaedics, Rheumatology and A&E etc. We are able to offer rotations including general MSK,hydrotherapy, fracture clinic,Rheumatology,Hand Therapy and classes which includes our lower limb rehabilitation class and Escape Pain. This post is ideal for those wanting to expand their MSK practice. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be interested in personal and service development. You will be expected to maintain a clinical caseload and provide supervision to junior members of staff and students.
