Position Title: SEND Nursery Manager for lovely location in Chelsea
Reporting to: Operations Director
Job Status: Full-Time/Permanent (40 hours)

Overview of the Role
To develop, deliver and ensure a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 2-5 years. To plan appropriately for SEND children using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum for guidance and SEND Framework and practices for the nursery, ensuring each child has an Individual Education Plan to support their learning and developmental needs. To ensure the nursery complies with all relevant legislation, plus local authority and OFSTED requirements. To ensure the provision is of the highest quality at all times and strives to attain the highest ratings such as OFSTED “Good or Outstanding”.
To work with the Head of Clinical Services and Operations Director to ensure that the curriculum of the nursery is effective. To deliver a therapeutic environment and support for children attending. To plan and deliver a timetable of learning and educational daily activities.
To ensure that safeguarding children and staff is our utmost priority. To promote and maintain our reputation for providing exemplary practice. To manage the day-to-day activities of the setting and ensure that the nursery is a safe environment for children, staff, and others.
To develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child’s development. To manage all nursery staff, placement students, and volunteers. To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Operations Director.
The ideal candidate must be:
* Educated to minimum GCSE level with passes in four or more subjects, two of which are English and Maths.
* Childcare qualified to minimum level 4 from a recognised awarding scheme (CWDC Diploma, NNEB, BTEC, NVQ, CACHE).
* Willing to consider graduate or post-graduate training e.g. Early Years Teacher, Professional or Educator with relevant experience.
* Fully trained in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
* Fully trained in safeguarding children at Designated Lead level.
* Evidence of managerial training. Fluency in written and spoken English.
* Experience of working with children with Special Needs.
* Dedication to maintain an environment which fosters continuous improvement.
* Willingness to go the extra mile.
* Ability to manage a team of people.
