Job summary We are looking to recruit highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic Senior Health & Wellbeing Nurses to join our Healthcare Service at Oasis Restore Secure School (ORSS). ORSS is the first residential Secure School in the UK and will hold 12-18 year old children. All staff work in line with 'Child First' principles to create a developmentally appropriate and trauma informed healthcare service. Senior Health & Wellbeing nurses will work as part of a team and contribute to the success of the team by being an effective role model and supervising Band 5 nurses, support workers and students to ensure they are working to the standards which the children using our services deserve. Main duties of the job The Senior Health & Wellbeing Nurse role is responsible for the delivery of compassionate nursing assessment, care and health promotion services, providing a healthy child programme at the ORSS. Nurses work closely with the children who use our services, their families, friends, and carers and play an important contribution in how children experience our services. The post holder will join a team of nurses, from a variety of backgrounds in terms of experience and training, to care for the children holistically. They will provide a comprehensive secure school (residential) based nursing service and work as part of an integrated healthcare team which includes primary care, mental health and substance misuse.
