We have an exciting position for an Advanced Pharmacy Technician working with the Women's and Children's Pharmacy team. You will work as part of a dynamic and fast-paced team delivering a highly complex and efficient pharmacy clinical service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work across Clinical Services, liaising closely with pharmacy and other staff. The post holder's key role will be to provide highly specialist services to paediatric patients.
The post holder will have line management responsibilities for Medicines Management Pharmacy Technicians based in Denmark Hill site.
The post holder is a vital member of the clinical pharmacy service, deputising in the chief pharmacy technician's absence and participating in and supporting areas such as research and audit, rota management, and the strategic development of the service.

The post holder's key role will be to provide quality services and to advance practice within the Child Health team and service.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pharmacy technician with extensive medicines management experience, IT skills, and a robust understanding of pharmacy as a whole, specifically the ward-based service.
The applicant must hold ACPT accreditation as well as medicines management accreditation.
This role has a variety of ad hoc demands and so it is essential the post holder is flexible and possesses excellent time management, planning skills, and is comfortable with self-direction.

Qualifications
Essential
* NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services with underpinning knowledge provided by the BTEC Certificate in Pharmaceutical Sciences OR other recognised Pharmacy Technician Qualification meeting requirements for registration with GPhC.
* Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician qualification.
Desirable
* Accreditation in Medicines Management (AIMM) or HEE Medicines Optimisation Programme (MOP) qualification.
Experience
Essential
* Significant experience relevant to Hospital Pharmacy Practice with assessed competencies.
* Experience working as a Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician.
