The Vacancy
We are looking for a Knowledge and Information Executive to work with colleagues in the Knowledge Management team to provide support across the club, ensuring colleagues can provide excellent service and support to members. This will be achieved by playing a key role in the club's access to research resources and acting as a knowledge enabler.
The post holder will be expected to take ownership of some regular tasks, alongside working on various projects and initiatives with key stakeholders across the club.
In the role, you will support the development of a culture of knowledge sharing and learning, and promote the knowledge resources, systems, and activities of the team through delivery of communications, training sessions, and engagement with key stakeholders.
The role holder must support the needs of the changing business, with attention to creating efficiencies and excellence. This is a collaborative role working with teams globally.
What will you be doing?
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting the team in the renewal and management of corporate memberships and subscriptions across the business; maintaining relationships with suppliers, and facilitating access to resources.
2. Taking ownership of the related administration, facilitating access to resources, and maintaining records and usage data for accurate tracking.
3. Responding to ad hoc requests from colleagues for access to resources, following the agreed procedures, and liaising with suppliers as required to rectify issues.
4. Monitoring the invoicing procedure in association with admin support and following supplier management and KM procedures.
5. Supporting Knowledge Management capabilities around the business, including building relationships with colleagues to understand their needs and support them in knowledge sharing - specifically, focusing on our geographical, specialty, and expertise groups.
6. Working with the Knowledge & Information Managers to create content on the intranet, including responding to ad hoc intranet content queries/requests for KM-owned areas (Expertise, Knowledge Base, Claims & Underwriting).
About you
Skills/Qualifications/Experience
1. Degree or relevant experience in Knowledge/Information/Library studies
2. Library or general administration experience, including procurement
3. Good organisational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise
4. Strong skills in SharePoint Online
5. A strong team player with good communication skills, but with the ability to be self-motivated and manage own workload, with a proactive approach
6. Work experience within a knowledge/library services environment, preferably in a legal/professional services firm
7. Research experience/skills using databases and resources
8. A solid working knowledge of various Microsoft products
