- £60,000 (based on experience and qualifications), with an OTE of up to £70,000 Our client creates nurturing havens for children and young people, fostering a secure and supportive environment.
They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dual Registered Residential Home Manager to oversee the management of two residential home.
These homes specialise in supporting the needs of young people and require a compassionate leader who can drive quality care, manage staff effectively, and maintain the highest standards of service delivery.
Are you the right person for the job? A full, clean driver's license Proven experience as Registered manager or an acting Home Manager, typically in the absence of a permanent Manager in a children's home.
Must have experience of Achieving Good or above with OFSTED during inspections.
At least two years of experience working in children's or young people's residential care within the past five years Experience working with young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and a strong understanding of therapeutic strategies Solid working knowledge of relevant Looked After Children (LAC) procedures The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent, or currently working towards this qualification What will your role look like? Oversee the daily operations of two residential homes, ensuring high-quality support is provided to young people Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including families, social workers, and agencies Lead, manage, and support a dedicated team of staff, ensuring professional development and effective performance management Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, legislation, and quality standards, including safeguarding and child protection Develop and manage the homes' care plans, health plans, and placement processes.
Lead staff recruitment, induction, training, and performance evaluations Manage budgets, staff rotas, and resources efficiently to meet operational needs Maintain a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for the young people in care, with opportunities for recreation, development, and personal growth Implement and oversee administrative systems and documentation, ensuring that all records are accurate and up to date Collaborate with the Responsible Individual/Company Directors to ensure continuous improvement and meet business objectives Provide leadership and guidance in addressing any issues, such as grievances, disciplinaries, or investigations Assist in the development of new homes.
