Job: Finance Analyst Duration: FTC – 12 months Salary: up to £28k doe Location: Hybrid with travel to our HO in Northampton Purpose of Role As a Finance Analyst you will be responsible for the development, production and review of management reports which provide relevant and timely information on the financial performance of the business. This will include, but is not restricted to, the production and review of monthly management accounts, balance sheets (including balance sheet reconciliations), forecasts and budgets. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts Balance sheet reconciliations Timely and accurate posting of accounting transactions Monthly P&L variance analysis to ensure all transactions are appropriate and substantiated Completion of balance sheet reconciliations Identification of risks and opportunities Supporting with the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting where necessary Perform ad-hoc analysis as required Collaborate and communicate with other Finance Departments Work effectively with different parts of the organisation to achieve common goals Keep up to date with organisational changes, financial regulations and the market place Respond appropriately to issues requiring confidentiality Interact with Internal and External Auditors Essential Experience Experience in Month end Accounting Balance Sheet experience Experience in forecasting and budgeting Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Qualifications Part Qualified or Qualified (AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA) Will consider QBE with relevant experience Experience Desirable Knowledge of US GAAP Personal Attributes Effective communicator Highly motivated and driven, achieving positive impact and meeting deadlines Ability to build trust and develop cohesive teams – strong empathy, clear expectations and fair-minded High energy and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - calm approach and ‘can-do’ attitude Encourages colleagues to realise their potential and empowers high performers Able to use data and numerical detail effectively to inform strategy, measure impact and drive quality Ability to travel within the UK; flexibility to work at home or from a regional office as required, with overnight stays as necessary Bright Horizons are committed to creating inclusive environments where everyone has a sense of belonging and has the opportunity to contribute and thrive in meaningful and impactful ways.
