Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Oxford University Hospitals Foundation Trust is looking for enthusiastic and diligent staff to support delivery of its new Oxfordshire Targeted Lung Health Check (TLHC) service.
A network of locally delivered TLHC services is being set up nationally to tackle lung cancer and health inequality. Lung Cancer typically presents late but can be detected at an early stage using a low dose CT scan. It is closely associated with smoking, and smoking prevalence is generally higher in economically challenged areas. Everyone registered with an Oxfordshire GP who is between the age of 55 and 74 with a smoking history will be invited to have a lung health check. Our target is to avoid 500 lung cancer deaths in Oxfordshire within the next few years.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be expected to support extraction of participant lists for the Targeted Lung Health Check Programme and ensure their accurate integration with the Programme's tracking system.
Additionally, the postholder will be required to support development, production and interpretation of the information needed by the Trust for the management of, and outcome reporting of the Programme.
The role requires a candidate with excellent attention to detail and proficiency in data management. Advanced Excel skills would be an advantage, but training will be available.
The post holder will work closely with the Corporate Information Team to cover a broad workload at all times. They will be expected to develop expertise in data systems contributing to the work of the Targeted Lung Health Check service, and a comprehensive understanding of how this fits into related internal and external systems. To meet the organisation's reporting needs, they will be expected to liaise closely with colleagues within the Targeted Lung Health Check service and within the wider trust (notably the Digital and Partnerships, Corporate Information Team).
Job responsibilities
1. Process manual data collection to support internal and external reporting.
2. Support the production, approval and submission of statutory and other routine reports.
3. Provide administrative support to members of the Targeted Lung Health Check Service.
