The Role
We are looking for a Personal Advisor to help us on our improvement journey. Due to service expansion, we have an additional post to advertise!
Working within the Leaving Care Team, you will be supporting 16 - 25 year olds to help them access education, training, employment, activities, suitable accommodation, and to develop skills that equip them to live their lives independently.
You hold a Level 3 (or above) qualification in a relevant child care or child development discipline with experience of working with young people in a similar supporting role and have a good understanding of issues such as mental health, substance misuse, housing legislation and support, and safeguarding.
You'll need to be confident in managing complex situations and have a high level of emotional resilience to respond to others' trauma. A quick thinker with the ability to make decisions in times of crisis, your excellent communication skills will hold firm when verbal communication isn't available, and be flexible across a wide range of audiences.
