CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting for a Critical Services Technician to join the team located in London where they will be working alongside one of our major Clients.\n\nPurpose of the Job\n \nTo support the shift leader and carry out all statutory and non-statutory PPM's across site including completion of all associated documentation required to maintain compliance. The reporting of failures/ noncompliance and the implementation of agreed solutions.
To also complete reactive tasks and daily checks / readings as required in accordance with agreed service levels.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n \nIncluding but not limited to:\n \n1. To support the shift team in provision of service.\n \n2. Day to Day involvement with Building Management System.\n \n3.
Undertake and maintain day to day PPM records.\n \n4. Undertake general housekeeping duties.\n \n5. To instill best working practices.\n \n6.
Maintain compliance to all QHSE policies in all areas.\n \n7. To support colleagues, ensuring their motivation and commitment to the client, contract and company.\n \n8. Take a proactive approach to resolve all day to day problems.\n \n9.
Monitor and review permits and working practices on all maintenance activities\n \n10. To review and fully understand all emergency procedures.\n \n11. Interface with tenants and clients at all levels.\n \n12.
Integrate fully with all different NMS departments to ensure seamless delivery of services such as project teams etc.\n \n13. Understand and demonstrate the Norland behaviours.\n \n14. Candidates will be time served and have as a minimum, an academic qualification in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.\n \n15.
Applicants are expected to have several years prior experience some of which will have been in a similar role and have good customer skills.\n \n16. It is essential staff are self-motivated and promote a "Can do" customer attitude at all times.\n \n17. Electrically qualified but the ideal candidate will be a Multi skilled engineer with a knowledge of the other services such as HVAC, water systems, gas, heating and ventilation.\n \n18.
Having flexible attitude with a "can do" approach and who is prepared to work outside their skill base and hours when required to provide a customer-based service.\n \n19. Be prepared to undertake training as required by the post and the Engineering Manager.\n \n20. Having administration skills to maintain computer based and hardcopy systems for statutory inspection and test.\n \n21.
Be able to react and work on their own initiative when it comes to reactive tasks.\n \n22. Operate all systems within the building in a competent, effective and efficient manner, adhering to guideline, bulletins and SOP's as required.\n \n23. Ensure that service providers work sheets are signed off, quality of works are inspected, and any recommendations are escalated\n \n24.
Responsible for critical equipment that serves critical areas for the client such as Data Centres and SER's.\n \n25. Responsible for escalation of all incidents and writing of incident reports ensuring the approved escalation procedure is adhered to.\n \n26. Planning including prioritization of tasks from PPM's and help desk requests.\n \n27.
Reacting to break downs and change in priorities. Extending jobs when required if SLA's cannot be achieved.\n \n28. To backfill for the Shift Leader as required when the shift leader is on leave / sick.\n \n29.
Sourcing and vetting quotations if required.\n \n30. Vetting safe system paperwork and issuing Permits and Authority to work as appropriate\n \n31. Work issuing as required.\n \n32.
Progress control and quality control.\n33. Safe system and work control system closeout.\n34. Proven experience as a day engineer in building services within prestigious environment.\n\nAccountabilities\n\nAccountable to the Shift Leader and Engineering Manager.\nThe post holder does not have any directly reporting staff.\nThis post carries no budgetary responsibility.\n\nEducation \n\nA good basic education is essential, with good written and spoken English and basic Mathematics skills.Training \n \n[Essential]\n\nCity and Guilds qualification and any relevant qualification in an electrical / engineering field.
