We are looking for a strategic leader with a passion for global purchasing, supply chain management, and materials planning. With this role, you can drive efficiencies and optimise supply chains in a dynamic, international environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead and direct purchasing and supply chain functions across all global locations, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Develop and implement a global supply chain strategy, working closely with teams in the UK, US, and China. Manage and mentor buyers, providing leadership and guidance to drive efficiency and best practices. Drive cost efficiencies and purchasing improvements, ensuring strategic supplier partnerships and consolidation where appropriate. Conduct tendering exercises by commodity to identify cost-saving opportunities and new supplier relationships. Negotiate supplier agreements, ensuring optimal pricing, on-time delivery, and quality standards. Oversee import/export procedures, ensuring compliance and efficiency in global trade. Optimise intercompany and global supply chains, implementing best-in-class procurement and logistics processes. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing and supply chain operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain challenges and achieve company goals. Ensure all work is conducted in line with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards. What We’re Looking For: Education & Experience: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical discipline. Postgraduate business qualification preferred. CIPS certification is desirable. Minimum 5 years of purchasing management experience, with a proven track record of delivering global supply chain excellence. Skills & Expertise: Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to mentor and develop global teams. Expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management. Deep understanding of MRP and ERP systems to drive efficiency. Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and compliance. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to analyze complex supply chain data and implement effective solutions. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. Adaptable to change and a strong advocate for continuous improvement initiatives. Why Join Us?
