Year 1 Teaching Assistant - Middleton A primary school in Middleton is seeking to appoint a Level 2 or Level 3 qualified teaching assistant to support within their Year 1 class to start ASAP. This role is full-time; Monday to Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm. As the successful Teaching Assistant, you will: - Have experience of working with pupils of primary school age - Have good English and Maths skills - Be comfortable leading small groups of pupils for interventions sessions and effectively managing behaviour - Display a calm, patient demeanour with the ability to create a stimulating learning environment - Be a qualified Teaching Assistant at either Level 2 or 3 or the equivalent. You will help to keep children safe by supporting the safeguarding of children and encouraging positive behaviour through agreed behaviour management strategies You will provide care and encouragement to pupils while supporting the teacher in the delivery and evaluation of learning activities The ability to remove barriers to learning and provide mentoring support to children.
