Our client, an expanding engineering business, seek to appoint a Sales Administrator to their sales team. The Sales Administrator will have excellent written English skills for writing proposals and quotations, be very well organised and capable of running the admin for multiple concurrent projects independently, and be comfortable on the phone working pro-actively to contact existing customers to chase progress. As you become more comfortable in post the option is there to move into a Sales Executive role if you wish.
The appointed Sales Administrator will need to have good technical knowledge (ONC / HNC qualified would be great, but experience from working in a manufacturing company a capable substitute) and will work alongside the technical team to better understand customer requirements. You don't need to be an engineer but you do need to understand the requirements of a technical sale and be able to write proposals that draw on technical info. You'll be given free reign (within reason!) to manage your own diary and must be well organised with good overall knowledge of the sales process. You'll be working on existing accounts and already 'opened' new accounts but as you progress you'll be able to target the contracts you want to work on and build the relationships you feel will best suit the business if you'd like.
