A SEND Teacher / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities teacher is required for long term supply cover in a SEND school in Exeter from September 2022, supporting children in Key Stage 3.
The role will be delivering an engaging curriculum at a mix of KS2 and KS3 level and requires a versatile SEND Teacher / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Teacher who is creative and caring in their approach. The school has a team of dedicated teaching assistants who provide fantastic support to the children. The students all have an EHCP for Autistic Spectrum Disorders, MLD, ADHD behavioural needs, so you will need to be patient, resilient, compassionate and caring.
The school has an excellent reputation and is a great place to work; the staff are welcoming, friendly and supportive of one another and the newly appointed SLT have a huge amount of experience in leading a specialist school.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver an engaging curriculum at KS2 and KS3 levels.
* Support children with special educational needs and disabilities.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff.
Qualifications:
* UK QTS with SEND experience.
* The ability to follow the National Curriculum and provide creative lessons.
* Positive approach to teaching.
* The ability to build good relationships with the staff and pupils.
* Fantastic classroom management.
