£12.70-£15.50 paye per hour
£14.00-£17.00 paye inclusive of holiday pay per hour
£16.00-£19.50 umbrella per hour
Depending on skill and experience
Working Days and Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.7 hours per week
Working from home: Hybrid working available, with some onsite presence required. (To be discussed at Interview stage)
Job Purpose:
As a key member of the Project Team, you will be responsible for supporting the deployment of Primary Care Digital Projects. You will be required to support the senior specialist in delivering projects successfully, and you will play a pivotal role in the success of these projects.
Duties:
1. Be responsible for co-ordinating and planning individual implementation activities including issues and risks management.
2. Managing the formulation and adjustment of activity plans as required during the deployment of the specific digital projects.
3. Provide a lead implementation role in both national and local digital projects, ensuring that the stated objectives are achieved in accordance with national and local requirements.
4. Be responsible for ensuring that end users are supported throughout the implementation of digital projects.
5. There will be a requirement to handover elements of projects once systems are operational, providing thorough training sessions, guidance, and procedure notes.
6. Responsible for elements of digital projects from initiation to completion within agreed timescales.
7. Ensure that national and local project targets and milestones are met where possible.
8. Utilise negotiation skills to obtain user commitment and engagement.
9. Communicate technical and controversial information relating to the project to a mixed audience.
10. Responsible for a specific workstream area such as migration of clinical information or technical activities.
11. Develop and implement policies and guidance for own project workstream area.
12. Identify, analyse and understand user requirements in their current working processes.
13. Identify, assess and manage risks and issues in relation to system implementations.
14. Prioritise an unpredictable workload where frequent changes to plans and demands occur.
15. Develop detailed Project documentation for own workstream area and project deployments.
16. Produce supporting guidance and procedure notes for effective handover of operational systems.
17. Manage user expectations to ensure alignment with business capabilities.
18. Act promptly to respond to the needs and requests for information of users, colleagues, and suppliers.
19. Responsible for maintaining information systems required for local monitoring and National tracking information.
20. Provide general training, advice, and support to end users in implementing IT programmes.
21. Utilise appropriate project methodology and software to plan, control, co-ordinate, monitor and deliver deployments.
22. Attend Project Team Meetings, contributing ideas and completing all appropriate actions.
23. Provide regular detailed and accurate updates to Senior Management and Project Managers.
24. Work closely with staff in other departments/organisations to ensure activities are completed in line with project timescales.
25. Maintain an up-to-date awareness and knowledge of developments within digital.
Qualifications/Training:
1. Educated to degree level or equivalent HND or equivalent experience in Digital.
2. Project Management Foundation Certificate or working towards (e.g. PRINCE2).
3. Working knowledge of a wide range of IT packages, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
1. Substantial experience in an IT environment.
2. A working knowledge of General Practice and/or Community services.
3. Experience of working as part of a project team, developing and implementing digital and Primary Care Projects.
4. Experience of testing and implementing modules or enhancements to information systems.
5. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Project.
6. The ability to make individual judgements when presented with complex situations.
7. The ability to concentrate for long periods of time, work under pressure, and manage workload.
8. Well-developed report writing and facilitation skills.
9. Advanced keyboard skills for manipulation of data.
10. Excellent inter-personal, communication, management, and negotiation skills.
11. The ability to influence and communicate with users in various roles.
12. The ability to identify, analyse and clarify user information needs.
13. To lead and motivate self and stakeholders to meet project objectives.
